gavbon86: Any chance you could say happy 9th birthday to your biggest fan, Oscar? ? Would make his day!.gavbon86: Don't think I've ever seen him smile and scream as hard! Thank YOU Dan ❤️.There are no data regarding the fan's engine type but, assuming that they are based on the SP120 fans which Corsair retails, they should be using a hydraulic bearing as well. The fans are the SP120L PWM, fans designed for high static pressure and with a maximum rated speed of 2450RPM. Inside each box we found the necessary mounting hardware, an internal USB header cable and two identical fans. The bundle of both coolers is essentially identical, with the exception of the manual. Inside the box, the coolers are well protected into a custom cardboard insert. The design is simple but elegant and attractive, with enough information printed on the box and in several languages. Essentially, the only thing that changes is the picture of the product and the color theme.
Both essentially are improved versions of the popular H80 and H100i respectively, featuring both aesthetic and performance upgrades.Ĭorsair supplies all of their advanced Hydro coolers in similarly sized and designed cardboard boxes. In this review, we are going to have a look at their latest and most advanced 120 mm fan coolers, the H80i GT ( $90) and the H100i GTX ( $105). We had a look at several of their liquid coolers a year ago, in our mega roundup review of AIO coolers. Today, the AIO liquid coolers are amongst Corsair's most popular products. The simplicity and relatively low cost made their liquid cooling solutions popular quickly. Corsair however did not give up and retried several years later with the release of the Hydro AIO series. Even though the product also bear Delphi's logo, it was not terribly successful at the time due to its size, cost, and complexity. The company first entered the market of liquid cooling back in 2003 with the HydroCool 200. Most of Corsair's users are probably unaware that one of the first attempts Corsair made to diversify was towards high performance cooling solutions. What once was a manufacturer of computer memory-related products today produces a great number of computer hardware and peripherals, from RAM modules and SSDs to cooling solutions and gaming peripherals. The radiator is very chunky and 2 fans make that doubly so.Corsair is a company that expanded furiously during the past decade, diversifying into several segments of the market. These are great coolers however make sure you have enough room to mount these as the 2 fans & radiator block must put the thickness at nearly 3.5 inches clearance needed (not measured actually).

The temps are really low- 2 130 Watt CPU's running at a little over 30 degrees at full pelt. This gave me sufficient room to mount the fan & radiator but it also meant cutting into the case fittings with hand tools. The solution was to mount one of the coolers on the back of the case by removing a fan and then cutting between the 3 fan mounts on the top of the case. The radiator was either colliding with the ATX cables or the holes would not line up. No matter where I positioned the cooler assembly I could not get it to fit in one of the 120 mm radiator slots on top of the case.
However I also have a large motherboard which is the ASUS Work station board which is extended ATX. I have a very large case, an old COSMOS 2. I don't know if the supplied ready applied TIM is any good but why take the risk as I know MX-4 is really good. I scrapped off the supplied TIM & used MX-4 on the CPU. LGA2011 fitting is very easy as it just needs 4 stand offs on the LGA 2011 mounting frame- so no fiddling with the rear of the board fitting any new frames.

Excellent high quality product with some caveats I purchased 2 of these coolers as part of an upgrade to fit two Intel E5 2967 CPU's.
